The Execution Of The Mexican Priest Wrongly Condemned
There have been many executions that occurred throughout History with the victim being wrongly convicted or condemned. In Mexico, there was a huge persecution of Catholic priests following the Mexican Revolution and one man who suffered greatly was Miguel Pro. He was a well travelled priest who had preached in many European countries, and he belonged to the Society of Jesus and was a Jesuit. But when he returned to Mexico he was wrongly accused of being involved in the attempted assassination of a former Prime Minister.
This was not the case, and the new Prime Minister Calles then personally ordered the execution of Miguel Pro. Because of this he was taken to a firing range, and during his execution he faced it bravely and even prayed for those who would execute him. He faced his execution incredibly bravely.
