Wolfsburg fans can look forward to a promising new striker in their team. European U21 champion Lukas Nmecha joins the Wolves from Manchester City. The Hamburg-born striker made a big impression at the U21 Euros, where he fired Germany to the title. He was the top scorer at the tournament with four and scored the decisive goal in the final to beat Portugal 1-0. Last season, Nmecha was loaned by Man City to Anderlecht in Belgium. There, too, he proved his scoring prowess, scoring 21 goals in 41 games. At youth level, Nmecha was trained at Man City. Now, after the 2019/20 season, in which he was loaned to Wolfsburg, he is moving back to the Wolves, this time as a permanent signing.
