Kampfgruppen der Arbeiterklasse

The KdA was a paramilitary organization formed of people aged 25-60 (some recruits were 18-24 , this was because they volunteered for KdA service, or were unfit for NVA service) The KdA was famous for the building of the Berlin Wall in 1961 and they partially guarded it alongside the Grenztruppen and Volkspolizei. Active from Sep 19th 1953- December 14th 1989 (Unofficially), 1990 (officially)
