How to collect seed and germinate and grow Blue Vervain. This is sometimes called a biennial, or at best, a short lived perennial. This plant prefers moist soil and can grow upwards of six feet tall. I’ve often found it grown next to ponds or low lying fields. It is very showy when planted en mass, and can be planted close together to give a powerful display in the summer.
