NHCC - BMC Compton and Long Beach Crip Video 1987

Literally a stone’s throw away from where the city of Compton ends and Long Beach begins across Greenleaf and Long Beach Blvd. on any given night in the late 1980s you’d find two Crip sets the “Neighborhood Compton Crips“ (NHCC) and the “Boulevard Crips“ (BMC) closely entwined with each other. After all, one simply had to cross on either side of Greenleaf to be in each other’s hood which turned about to be a daily migration between the two groups. This video takes you back to a warm summer evening in 1987 at the Shangri-Lodge Apartments where NHCC and BMC with Old English 800 40 oz malt liquor beers in tow once again co-mingled to party into the night.
