Musique Concrete Beats - Field Recording and Korg Volca Sample

If you enjoyed this video please consider supporting my channel through BandCamp, Redbubble or Etsy: Tonight’s challenge over on Electronic Curiosity Collective was ’no instrument’, ie make a track from a field recording. I didn’t have time to go out and do any field recording today so I grabbed an old cassette I made with a Sanyo Talkbook of a trip me and my then girlfriend, now wife, took to our local city of Lincoln in the UK back in 2004. It was a trip to Lincoln castle and there just happened to be a re-enactment on that day with men beating drums and firing rifles, plenty of kids running around too. The audio was recorded from cassette into Cockos Reaper on PC, chopped up there and then loaded into the Volca Sample using a bit of free software called Vosyr. So cue strange music made from odd chopped up bits of audio. Everything here is made from manipulated bits of audio from my field recording
