E. Morricone - Playing Love From The Legend of 1900, arr. A. Del Sal

. Ennio Morricone (10 November 1928 – 6 July 2020), one of the greatest and most influential film composers of all time. Here’s my never-before-released video of my absolute favourite theme composed by Morricone - “Playing Love“ from film “The Legend of 1900 - La leggenda del pianista sull’oceano“. This theme appears towards the end of the film when the protagonist of the story, 1900, who has spent all his life on a cruise ship, was finally convinced to have his piano playing recorded. The recorded music is created by 1900 as he gazes at a beautiful woman who has just boarded. When 1900 hears the recording, he takes the master disc, offended at the prospect of anyone hearing the music without his having performed it live. He then tries to give the master to the woman who inspired it, but is unable to and breaks the matrix into pieces. /// Midnight is the third solo album from acclaimed guitarist Uros Baric, featuring evocative performances of some of the best loved film music alongside classical favourites, re-imaginings of traditional pieces, popular songs and contemporary works.
