Laila Ali - The Fighter Daughter (Muhammad Ali - Fighting Spirit)

Laila Ali, eighth child and the youngest daughter of boxing champion Muhammad Ali, is best known for her electrifying hits and tricks on the ring. Fighting since the young age of 18, Laila first publicized her decision to enter this sport in a Good Morning America interview with Diane Sawyer. She won her first match on October 8, 1999 against April Fowler followed by the second one by a TKO against Shadina Pennybaker. On September 24, 2004, Ali made it to the headlines again by winning the IWBF Light Heavyweight title by beating Gwendolyn O’Neil. Her incredible performances has earned her the name “Super Middleweight Champion” by the International Boxing Association and the International Women’s Boxing Federation.
