If you want to upgrade your bicycle with a more modern drivetrain, like 2x9, 1x10 or 1x11, there is a chance, that you won’t have to replace the rear wheel or the hub itself. In some cases replacing a Shimano 7 speed freehub body to 11 speed will be a quick solution. You might need to use a longer axle too.
