Taipei zoo celebrates panda pair’s 15th birthday

On August 30, Taipei Zoo celebrated the 15th birthday of two giant pandas Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan, which were gifted to Taiwan by the Chinese mainland in 2008. Both of the pandas are in good health condition. Fifteen is the prime age in a giant panda’s life, and Yuan Yuan, the female panda, still has the opportunity to deliver babies, said Wang Yimin, curator of Taipei Zoo’s special exhibition hall.
