SAVE ME - A Planetside 2 Cinematic Montage

This video is the result of an overly ambitious project to try and create a Planetside 2 cinematic inspired by “Flawed“ by Lillbabs, which is an absolute masterpiece. If you’ve not seen it already, I highly recommend that you do - I believe it’s the most popular (and best) Planetside cinematic of all time. In that video, Lillbabs does a whole lot of editing wizardry using Adobe After-Effects. I knew I couldn’t replicate a lot of the stuff that he did, but I decided to try and make a video that was at least half as good as his - if I could get that far, the effort would be well worth it. Using only the free version of DaVinci Resolve, I set about learning the techniques he used. Some things were completely out of reach due to me using the free version of DaVinci Resolve, the most important of which were motion blur, depth of field, and lens flares.
