Floating Snake-like Robot by Air-jet for Disaster Response

Robotics researchers at Tohoku University have developed a snake-like robot that can float by an air-jet to surmount rubbles for disaster responses. The robot is called Active Scope Camera, which is one of the robot platforms in the “Touch Robotics Challenge“ funded by ImPACT Program of Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (Cabinet Office, Government of Japan).() Researchers: Satoshi Tadokoro, Masashi Konyo, Kenjiro Tadakuma, and Yuichi Ambe in Tohoku
