Ukraine drone spares Russian soldier’s life, takes him prisoner in dramatic battlefield video

A Ukrainian drone, sent on a bombing run to kill a Russian soldier, instead provided aid for the enemy before taking him as a prisoner. Hunkered down in a trench underneath a dirt arch, the Russian survived five separate grenade explosions dropped by the drone, during what is believed to be a late summer’s day on a battlefield in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine. Upon return to the battlefield, the drone — manned by the K-2 Battalion of Ukrainian Army’s 54th Brigade’s — discovers the Russian soldier lying on his back, hands together, pleading for his life to be spared, according to dramatic footage shared to social media.
