Rashida Tlaib holds ‘war criminal’ sign as Netanyahu addresses Congress

The Democratic lawmaker Rashida Tlaib held up signs reading ‘war criminal’ and ‘guilty of genocide’ in US Congress on Wednesday as Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, delivered a speech to a joint session. Israel rejects charges that is committing genocide in Gaza. The Michigan congresswoman has been a vocal critic of Israel’s war on Gaza and is the only Palestinian-American in Congress. In a post on X after the speech she wrote: ‘The apartheid government of Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians. Palestinians will not be erased. Solidarity with all those outside of these walls in the streets protesting and exercising their right to dissent’
