Birth of Black P. Stone Nation: 15 Ramadan-December 28, 1966: Chicago influence on L.A. Blood Gangs.

The Black P. Stone Nation was born on the 15th of Ramadan, December 28th, 1966, at First Presbyterian Church in the Woodlawn section of south side Chicago. From there, Jeff Fort’s Nation spread to Hartfort, CT and Los Angeles, CA, where the red rag was introduced in both cites. Nationwide, urban street gangs adopted the red rag to signify Chicago’s Blood-Brother alliance formed in 1966 i.e. Lords, Stones, Latinos and East Side Disciples. In the Bronx, the Ghetto Brothers adopted the red rag after BPSN delegates held meetings with the street gangs in NYC. The Black Panthers adopted the style of BPSN and taught George Jackson who originated BGF, the first Damus organization in Los Angeles. The Black Panthers where also in the Jungles with BPSN in 1968. The Black Disciples continue to where red and have an alliance with BGF.
