Breast Lifting

Ptotic breasts are not attractive. A small or normal sized breast can be dropped. The treatment for this kind of breasts is called breast lifting. In this operation the nipple-areola complex is transferred to an upper position and the operation is completed with a circular scar around the areola and a vertical scar beneath the areola. This is called a “lollipop shaped scar”. Big breasts are almost always sagged. The treatment of them includes transposition the nipple areola complex and removing some breast tissue. At the end of the operation the final scar may be a lollipop scar or usually an inverted T shaped scar with an additional transverse scar over the inframammary fold. If this scar is long it might be visible on most inferomedial and inferolateral sides of the breast with open dresses.
