Casting off, ’Wave’ plunges into a subaqueous world with gurgling acid and soft breathy pads - a backwards roll into chop for a lowlight dive. Venturing deeper, tensions rise in ’Silent Resistance’ as we are immersed in a viscous acidic bassline. Rubbery bands of kelp slap and entangle us as we make our way through the gloomy benthos. Over on the B-side, we resurface to the frenetic ’Acid Theory’. The scend of the waves brings an orderly and rhythmic energy to the cut. Crossing the strand, Aquaregia mainstay 747 lightens the mood with a broken beat remix of the B1. An unresolved arpeggio and whining acid line bring the EP to a conclusion as the sun dispels the overcast.
