After a gap of seven years (!!!) JS Zeiter returns with the next installment in this long running, cultishly adored and painfully intermittent series of releases. Originally started back in 1997 with the semi-legendary “JS-01“, the one constant between all the records has been unfathomably deep and rich sonic textures, a dub-wise sensibility and a futuristic, techno-focused production aesthetic. As usual for the series, we get two variations on one theme; the first introducing the track through a steady hi-hat pulse, crashing sonic waves and a technoid throb underpinning it all. At once hypnotic and enveloping, it’s nice long arrangement invites the listener to get fully immersed in all its sub-aquatic beauty and deepness. As we flip the disc and unveil the second half of the mix, an even deeper, rumbling kick drum takes charge of the track, with the crashing waves of the previous side evolving into sounds more resembling circular solar winds...
