Dressed to Kill (Brian De Palma, 1980) Cruising

Masterful museum set-piece from Brian De Palma’s classic thriller, “Dressed to Kill“. With Angie Dickinson. The gender-ambigous “Dressed to Kill“ was made after Brian De Palma’s previous film, an adaptation of Gerard Walker’s “Cruising“, fell apart when he was unable to secure the rights. “Cruising“ eventually went to William Friedkin, and De Palma recycled many of his ideas for this film. Despite the heterosexual context, this scene is obviously modeled off the former screenplay’s concept of ’cruising’.
