What’s Life Like in Crimea Now? | Crossing the Bridge & Talking to the Locals
Being half-Russian, I decided to challenge myself and visit one of the most dangerous places on the Black Sea, the Crimean Peninsula. I met the locals as well as tourists and got their opinion regarding how safe it is to live in Crimea in the year 2023. With the recent developments in the peninsula regarding drone attacks and the multiple explosions on the Crimean bridge, I did ask them if they’re considering leaving the peninsula.
So I crossed the bridge to get answers to questions like; ‘What is life like in today’s Crimea?’, ‘What was the impact of sanctions on businesses and the daily lives of regular people?’, and ‘Do the people there really want their territory to be a part of Russia?’
