The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 the week of November 11, 1978, for three weeks, and earned Summer her first nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Italian producer Giorgio Moroder would recall that he and his collaborator Pete Bellotte had been interested in the concept of either remixing a
