Young Homeless Girl Sleeps Outside in Freezing Winnipeg, Canada’s Winters

Ever since I met Katie, I cannot stop thinking about what a beautiful mature young woman she is and how cruel our world is that she is sleeping outside homeless! It was down to 42°f last night in Winnipeg. With the wind, I am sure it felt much colder. Katie said she didn’t sleep much. She mostly walked around to stay warm. As a result of a few bad situations and flawed relationships, Katie has been living on the streets since last March. I can’t even imagine what life is like for this young homeless woman. Yet Katie looks at life through a positive lens.
