In this episode, Aeneas, the Trojan hero, arrives in Italy after long journeys, he is initially received peacefully by King Latinus. However, Aeneas’ marriage to Latinus’ daughter, Lavinia, causes conflict with Turnus, leader of the Rutuli, who also wanted to marry her. This leads to a war between Aeneas’ Trojans and the Latins, marking the beginning of the struggles for the future founding of Rome.
