The English language is constantly evolving, which is something I rather enjoy about it. And one way that I believe English is possibly changing (especially spoken English) is the use of some stative verbs in the continuous tense. This improper use seems to become more accepted over time.
So let’s talk about what stative verbs are and how they are different from dynamic verbs. I’ll tell you why stative verbs should not be used in the continuous tense and then give you two reasons why you may likely hear people seemingly break this grammar rule.
