Vasily Ivanovich Shukhaev (1887-1973) is a man of interesting destiny. In short, he was born in Moscow, moved to St. Petersburg, in 1920 he left with his wife for Finland on the ice of the Gulf of Finland, lived in Paris, in 1935 he returned to the USSR, received recognition there, but in 1937 he was arrested and sent to Kolyma, after his release he left for Tbilisi, where in as a result, he became an honored artist of the Georgian SSR.
