12“ Sunfire True Subwoofer - Earthquake Sound Hybrid In Action!!

This is a twenty year old Bob Carver Sunfire True Subwoofer Signature 12 inch with a replacement Earthquake Sound SLAPS M-12 Passive Radiator installed. This subwoofer is no longer being made but is a classic! The original passive radiator failed and needed to be replaced as it couldn’t be effectively repaired. I came up with the great idea to replace it with the Earthquake Sound SLAPS M-12 passive radiator (about $70). The opening needed to be filed wider by about 1/8 inch but the bolt pattern was the same as the original PR. The performance is so much better with the Earthquake than stock and you’ll need to turn down the volume as it’s more efficient! (notice the HUGE excursion in the video!) This fix works even better for the 10 inch Sunfire True Subwoofer with the SLAPS M-10 (about $55) Passive radiator: NO filing, just drop in, same bolt pattern as the original.
