Plasma engine.

A simple glow discharge plasma engine experiment. The vacuum chamber (bell jar) is filled with residual air. This ion propulsion concept is using the thrust created by accelerated ions (plasma thruster). The DC glow discharge is maintained by a high voltage supply. The paddle wheel is hanging on a needle.
