Cherry blossom: Illustrating White flowers

This film looks at drawing a sprig of blossom from the Wild cherry, Prunus avium. As well as showing the drawing process, and how leaves tinged red are tackled, the film covers four different ways of painting white flowers. These are putting leaves behind the flower, outlining in pencil, outlining in paint, and using a very light background wash. All four techniques are demonstrated in real time with Lizzie’s commentary throughout.
