‘The crew is vomiting’: United Airlines diverted after ‘biohazard’ left all onboard sick

A United Airlines flight has diverted after the cabin crew vomited and passengers asked for masks due to an onboard “biohazard”. On Sunday, flight 2477 was heading to Boston from Houston, Texas, at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The flight was cut short and forced to land in Washington DC to undergo a “deep clean”, according to the airline. According to radio traffic from the pilot, crew members became ill themselves, requiring the pilots to request a diversion. “I talked to the crew and it sounds like it’s quite bad back there. The crew is vomiting, and passengers all around are asking for masks,” a crew member said. “With this kind of being a biohazard, I think we need to get this plane on the ground asap.”
