Good Will Hunting - Genius builds bridges but envious professor burns bridges.
This dramatic scene portrays so many different points of views and possible interpretations of what each character was feeling which lead to the behavior, and the tension and conflicts over one man doing something amazing.
Hailed as ‘best scene in any movie ever’, by a reviewer on a movie critics website.
FILM DEVELOPMENT
This film script was written solely by Matt Damon, who collaborated with Ben Affleck writing the screenplay together - unveiling they are uncommonly creative visionaries, also talented actors with exceptional artistic abilities, captivating on-screen presence, both self-sufficient, composed, professional, equipoised, confident and ingenious.
SOLVENT INVESTMENT POTENTIAL:
Film Budget: $10 million
Box office: $225.9 million (Worldwide)
The film continues to profit, accumulating revenue from royalties, online ads click, film streams and purchases. Making this risky investment, a super solvent blessing for the people invested financially in it’s best interest.
The duration of time for filming was ’only’ 3 months; in which the profits exceeded the budget sufficiently and ridiculously. In the opening weekend, the film earned $10,261,471 already covering all the expenses invested in the film’s total budget. Along with a favourable critical response with an accolade of awards, the film went on to make an obscenely solvent financial profit with a total worldwide gross of $225,933, date and probably still accumulating.
The production team went ’all out’ on this film; taking considerable risks, which super-abundantly paid dividends. intuitively or ’meant to be’, taking considerable risks, yet when we think of it aside from the total time required to: write the script, transform it into a screenplay, then negotiate the sale of the screenplay, making waves in Hollywood for a US$750,000 script purchase doesn’t or didn’t happen every day – nor are there many self-assured, intelligent, polymath (actor/writer/business negotiator/screenplay/ team administrator/ assistant casting agent/ and sole fundamental orchestrator visionaries with the balls to ‘know their worth’, and settle for chump change, but trade in ‘fair-exchange’.
Whoever the directors and executives at Miramax are who wisely discerned the difference in Mr Damon and Mr Affleck, even when some studio executives ‘apparently’ suggested that Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio should replace them, to reduce the risk involved and ensure a higher probability that the investment returned ample profits untold.
The wise guys at Miramax, seemed to have taken an enormous risk, but due to the directing, performance and the solid screenplay based script, the will to make a calculated intuitive risk payed dividends with a super rewarding humongous reward. Kudos and in loving memory of the warm, charming, inspirational man Robin Williams for his supporting role which can never be underestimated for play a pivotal role that held it all together making platinum from gold.
DISCLAIMER

SCRIPT WRITER
Matt Damon originally started writing the film as a final assignment for a playwriting class he was taking at Harvard University. Instead of writing a one-act play, Damon submitted a 40-page script. He then came to Ben Affleck and asked him to develop the screenplay together, which they soon completed, then the ambitious men negotiated a lucrative sale of film script to Castle Rock Ent. who perceptively purchased the script from Matt Damon for US$775,000; including an agreement that Damon and Affleck retained the sole writing credits. Account for inflation since the 1990’s and that ’knowing the worth of your work’.
Miramax soon bought the rights from Castle Rock, and the Miramax gave the green light to put the film into production.
NOTABLE ACCOLADES:
