TOP 5 Modern Shred Guitarists

In this video we look at our personal top 5 modern shred guitar virtuosos. While this is a “top 5“ if we were forced to put these from favourite to least favourite we would struggle. Shred guitar has moved on quite a lot since the 80’s and 90’s. Hair spray is out, heavy leather jackets are no more. Now in the modern era we have shredders who have been inspired by shredders of the 80’s and 90’s and have honed their skills to produce some absolutely phenomenal playing. Not everyone in this list is an out and out shredder, in fact, we’d be sure that most players here would hate to be known just for their speed and technique.
