Building Stairs into the Root Cellar in my Off Grid Log Cabin
I’m really settling in to the cabin this winter and I am finally able to get some of the important projects done, especially safety issues like building the stairs and railing in the breezeway down to the root cellar.
During the cold winter, I eat a lot of protein and fat so I’m constantly cooking bear and venison on the wood stove, which is stored in the solar powered freezer in the basement along with potatoes and carrots in the back portion of the cellar.
