Dr. Theorem in: Invaders from Earth! The song is based on classic invaders movie scores of the 1950s. So paranoid back then—all those movie aliens ever wanted to do was to destroy us. But who do we know who REALLY destroys things everywhere they go, hmm??? (more...)
As usual I manipulate stars and planets with Celestia and put it all together in Final Cut Pro X. (What power: I can control the Universe.) My saucer turned out better than I expected, also, but yes, I know the metallic shine shouldn’t actually be rotating with the rest of it! I thought it looked cool anyway, so I kept it.
Every Dr. Theorem video has multiple visual references to 2001: A Space Odyssey. Can you find them all? 🤔
Finally, that’s a Southwest Technical Products Corp. theremin you’re seeing and hearing. (Though I now use and recommend a Moog Etherwave.) The SWTPC theremin was available as a kit in the late 1960s and through the 1970s. I put mine together in high school.
