J. Geils Band - Come Back (Full Studio Version)

The full studio version of “Come Back“ from their 1980 album, “Love Stinks.“ ’Come Back’ is an interesting song from The J. Geils Band. Up until this album, most of their material was mainly rooted in Blues. Motown, Classic R&B, Doo-Wop and early Rock & Roll. This song has much more of a prominent Disco/Synthesized Pop sound to it. It was certainly hinting at the future because the New Wave sound was a sound that dominated mainstream Pop radio throughout the rest of the decade. I’m really not the biggest fan of most electronic, heavily synthesized music. However, this is an extremely talented band when it’s all said and done, and I feel that they did a good job with this particular sound. This song still has the instruments and the musical talent. Seth Justman, in my humble opinion, is one of the most underrated keyboardists ever. The J.
