Game Recap: Penguins vs. Sabres () | Maxime Lagace Saves the Day

After Jeff Carter’s four-goal outing against the Sabres the other day, the Penguins were looking to finish the regular season on a high note. In net for Pittsburgh was Maxime Lagace, making his first start with the black and gold. The Sabres outshot the Penguins badly through 20 minutes, but Lagace stood tall. The lone goal of the game came just under two minutes into the 2nd period, from none other than (you guessed it) Jeff Carter. Carter now has 399 career goals. Maxime Lagace stopped all 29 Buffalo shots, and recorded his first career shutout. By virtue of the win today, Pittsburgh needs to do some scoreboard watching to determine who will have the #1 seed in the East Division. Pittsburgh will get the first spot if... Washington does NOT defeat the Flyers in regulation or if the Flyers defeat the Capitals in any fashion. SUBSCRIBE to be among the first to see new Penguins content by clicking here:
