Creating a Mustang Scene in a 3D Environment with Unreal Engine 5 and Houdini

The ’Mustang 1965’ project was successfully completed by EVR Studio’s XR Department, utilizing Unreal Engine 5 and Houdini as part of their internal R&D efforts. The purpose of this project was to come up with a methodology utilizing the two software programs, while also tackling problems that arose along the way. It was created by fusing Unreal Engine 5’s innovative real-time graphics technology with Houdini’s physics simulation capabilities in the most seamless way possible. Investigating and understanding the interaction and differences between the two software programs was necessary to capitalize on their strengths and limitations.
