US Sees “Rapid“ F-16 Sale To Turkey After Sweden’s NATO Entry, Erdogan Tones Down Israel Criticism?
The Turkish government signed contracts to replace some foreign-made weapons with locally produced versions, the Defense Ministry announced. The deals, finalised on January 20 with defence contractor Roketsan and other domestic organisations, set the stage for the mass production of various weapons. These include the Akya torpedo, the Atmaca “Hawk” cruise missile and the Sapan air defence weapon, all made by Roketsan.
