Introducing Mr Bear – my new furry friend. I’m a big fan fan of puppets in the ESL classroom. Glove puppets, shadow puppets, finger puppets, character puppets, pop- up puppets – you name it I love’em. I’m not a puppeteer or a ventriloquist but I have seen first-hand how these little fuzzy characters have a natural ability of connecting with young language learners and can be used in so many different ways in teaching English - from introducing new vocabulary, storytelling, singing songs, playing games, skits, .
