Cobweb Castle LLC was formed in 2020 by Elliott Stanton as he was wrapping up a career in the military. The company launched the patent pending Spider Keep as a wooden habitat designed for the Southern House Spider or Kukulcania hibernalis. These are harmless spiders which proliferate in the Southern states. Elliott had been working over a decade on a design that would allow the unique behavior of Southern House Spider to be observed in a controlled environment. The Spider Keep has been featured on channels such as Clint’s Reptiles and The Tarantula Collective.
