“A Drug-Free World: We Can Do It!” - This was the slogan of a UN General Assembly meeting in New York in 1998. They adopted an action plan to eliminate or significantly reduce the demand for and supply of illicit drugs within 10 years. In 2009, they renewed this action plan, to be reevaluated in 2019.
