Season Two - Episode Five: “Breakage“ Episode Description: Tensions and bills mount at the White household. Hank makes progress at work, but suffers from the aftermath of his encounter with Tuco. Jesse takes charge and assembles a crew of dealers to get their product out on the streets. Episode Overview: As mounting medical bills and domestic turmoil have Walt scrambling to find a solution to his problems, Hank’s heroism in the shootout with Tuco lands him a promotion at the DEA. And while Hank makes a point of putting on a good show at work, underneath it all he is scared to death of another potentially fatal confrontation. Meanwhile, Jesse looks to put his own house in order, first by negotiating a deal with Clovis to store the mobile meth lab and then by persuading a skeptical landlord to agree to rent him a duplex even though he doesn’t have a job. And though he agrees to rejoin Walt in their partnership, this time Jesse insists that they do it his way, with Jesse running the business end and Walt handling the chemistry. Now that Walt is cooking up as much meth as their lab can handle, Jesse reunites three of his old business partners – Badger, Skinny Pete and Combo – for his street sales force. After laying down a strict set of rules that govern the business, Jesse sets his team loose on Albuquerque with spectacular results – at least until Skinny Pete is robbed by a pair of addicts. Meanwhile, at a family party to celebrate Hank’s promotion, Skyler demands that Marie apologize for having shoplifted her baby shower gift. While Marie is already looking ahead to a promotion that will take them away from the dangers of the Mexican border to the glamour of Washington , D.C., Hank continues struggling with the demons that have been haunting him since his run in with Tuco. At a desert meeting to divide up their profits, Walt makes it clear that he isn’t happy at being forced to share the loss of the drugs that were stolen from Skinny Pete. Over Jesse’s objections, Walt suggests that he handle the situation in the same way Tuco would have – by making the thieves pay with their lives. Emboldened by the confrontation, Walt heads home to confront Skyler about her recent behavior, especially the evidence that she’s been smoking while pregnant. But after getting no satisfaction from his showdown with Skyler, Walt heads back to give Jesse a gun and to angrily order him to use it.
