Empire Begins (2010)

Luke Stiles and Chris Thormann made Empire to show what it’s like to ride a fixed-gear bike in traffic. They filmed with bike messengers and bike lovers where it all began, in New York City. Empire premiered in 2010 at the Bicycle Film Festival, and sold out dozens of screenings around the world. Now anyone who wasn’t there can watch that moment in time.
