State ceremony was held at Anıtkabir for the Great Leader Ataturk

The great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, was commemorated with a state ceremony at Anıtkabir on the 85th anniversary of his passing away. The ceremony at Anıtkabir started at with the march of the state officials from the Lion Road. The cortege, led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, included Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, members of the Presidential Cabinet, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, IYI Party Chairman Meral Akşener, presidents of high judicial bodies, Turkish Armed Forces command, representatives of political parties, bureaucrats and other dignitaries. President Erdoğan laid a wreath consisting of red and white carnations and a starred wreath at Atatürk’s mausoleum.
