Satanic nightjar / Сатанинский южноазиатский козодой / Eurostopodus diabolicus

A Satanic Nightjar on its day roost. Another was found later on but this crytic camouflage keeps them well hidden. The name comes from local folklore about a creature that tore the eyes from its victims and the sound is related to the call of this bird a recording which I made can be heard here
