Piers believes that transgender women athletes competing in women’s sports is making a ’mockery’ of transgender and distracting from transgender issues. Mara then explains that many people have tried to play this down as Glenique only ended up finishing 6,160th - however she still finished ahead of 14,000 other women who competed.
