Poverty could push UK back to Victorian era of social divides - report
A report has warned that chronic poverty could result in the UK seeing the kind social divide not seen since the Victorian era.
A report by the Centre for Social Justice said COVID lockdowns were partly to blame for the situation.
The report found that just 40% of deprived households said they had a good quality of life, while the disadvantaged are no better off than they were 15 years ago, with their average wages stagnant since 2008.
