Airbus A320 Electric Taxi FIRST TEST!

This is a video of the world’s very first Electric Taxi Demonstration on an aircraft. Being able to taxi with engine-off has great potential to reduce on-ground fuel burn and associated emissions. It was conducted in Frankfurt Airport using a Lufthansa Airbus A320. The system is integrated into the main landing gear and uses APU power to drive the electric motors. Watch for the precision maneuverability including the reversibility.
