Craig Harris’ God’s Trombones

An interview with Craig Harris, composer of God’s Trombones, a musical exploration of James Weldon Johnson’s seminal book of poetry inspired by the rousing sermons of African-American preachers. God’s Trombones will be performed on Sunday, June 19th at the Colonial Theatre in downtown Pittsfield to kick off Lift Ev’ry Voice: Celebrating African-American Culture & Heritage in the Berkshires.
