Making a Primitive Burden Basket to Harvest Mesquite (episode 15)

Link: Code: ChadZuber An often overlooked survival skill is crafting baskets and cordage. Both these skills are extremely important for primitive life in the wilderness. Cordage is easy to make and can conveniently be stored or carried but its application is of immense value. Cordage can be used to build shelters, make sandals, sew clothes, make bags and blankets and so many other uses. Baskets are very important for collecting and storing food and other materials. Summer is the harvest time for mesquite pods. This highly nutritional and tasty food is very abundant and can be safely stored for a long time making it a terrific survival food. In this video I use materials available to me in my immediate area to make a useful burden basket to collect and transport the mesquite harvest. This series will be ongoing so be sure to stay tuned for the next video. *Turn on captions to see subtitles in other languages. *Please subscribe and enable notifications.
