The Beatles - Maureen

- Recorded January 6, 1969 during the Get Back/Let It Be sessions. - George Harrison original song, although George says Bob Dylan wrote it for Ringo about Ringo’s same Maureen that George had an affair with, ending both the Beatle’s marriages.. - George also says it was written when he was playing him the recording of the brass instrumental Thingumybob for Dylan, which they then used a part of the chord progression for the Maureen song. - Thingumybob was yet another unreleased Beatles song written by Paul McCartney during the White Album sessions and given to The Black Dyke Mills Band to cover. (the same brass band that played on Yellow Submarine) - - This was played right after John played a song for Ringo called Annie. - This recording has been re-balanced and remastered by Red Hector.
